Oil on board - 18" x 24"
Today morning I saw these flowers in a "topli" and decided to paint them. I started out with acrylic colors but as the ambient temperature is very high in Pune these days, the acrylics dried very fast. Even adding acrylic retarder did not give satisfactory results. I had no choice but to switch to oils and had to paint the board white with acrylic gesso before using oils.
I had lot of trouble painting the bamboo texture. It has come out OK now but it could have been better. I may make some fine tuning in this painting later but just wanted to post this as it is today.
